Robot Connection

Improved Error Communication

We've started rolling out better error messaging and debug messages to help with identifying issues that may come up when connecting to a robot. For now, you'll see this with Misty robots and soon we'll be adding more robots. We hope this eases the process of getting set up and identifying any issues as they arise.
Now you can test the Peerbots face expressions and voice directly from the Peerbots Face page. Click the Test Face section to expand it and see the options. This functionality uses the the Quick Actions selector on the controller and provides a consistent experience between the face page and the controller so you'll know what to expect when you switch to the controller.

My Content Search

You can now filter and search your content on the My Content page. For those who have lots of content collections to choose from, this should make that process a bit easier.

View and Edit Template Descriptions From Controller

You can now view and edit each template's description directly from the Controller. This allows you to add some documentation of each template and recall or communicate to others what the intent behind the template is. Template descriptions are also a great location to describe your intent behind the button colors.

Table View Multi-Select

In the controller Table View, you can now select multiple buttons to edit them all at once. This is particularly useful for editing many button colors for tagging, emotions, or robot colors expressed. Simply select the checkbox on the left side and you'll see options at the top. Once you make a selection, you'll see it updated all the selected buttons. You can also use this feature to move multiple buttons at once.
From the Controller, you can now see some summary statistics about your template in the Template Analysis Panel. These summary statistics include how many logs vs expression are in the template, the character length of the various buttons and the emotions expressed. The template analysis panel is intended to help you quickly reflect on what you've included in the template to ensure it aligns with your intention. For example, did you expect the robot to express so many (or so few) colors or emotions? Using the Template Analysis panel can help you determine some changes you might want to make to your template.

Connect via QR Code

If you've ever struggled to connect your Robot Face and Robot Controller, this new feature might help you out. From the robot connection page, you'll now see a QR code under the Peerbots connection options. Go to that page from the device you want to use as a controller. Then, from the device you'll use as the face, scan the QR code. This will set up your device as a face and send a connection request to the controller. Accept the connect request on the controller, and you're all set! You can now use your controller to control the robot face

Practice Mode

Have you ever created an interaction script but struggled to imagine the full interaction or account for what people might say in response to the robot? With the new Practice mode, you can now describe your audience and use generative AI to play out an example conversation. You'll still be the one defining the script but the AI will generate potential responses that people might say to the robot. This mode can help you craft more and more content to ensure that you've got the conversation covered. The AI will generate 3 options for you and you get to pick which one you want to follow. If it's not helpful, you can use this mode to just generate your own reponses and keep track of a conversation. When you're in practice mode, using the Quick Actions will generate a new button for you to add to the content directly. You can revise that later in Table View.
Rather than use the AI to generate content, we want to ensure that you're the one deciding and coming up with what the robot may say. This keeps you in control but provides potentially helpful prompts to make sure you've created enough content for a full conversation.
On the Peerbots Face, you can now set it to auto-rotate with your device, full screen the face, and jump to top of the settings. You can also hide those buttons if you'd like. This feature should hopefully make it easier for you to control what people see on the face and keep the face consistent and navigable when you want.
You can now edit your profile and settings on the Profile Page. This will show you your username and API keys for easy reference. When receiving calls, you can have people call your username instead of your email so you can retain your email as private.
